Tumor-specific cytokine-induced killer cells (Tumor-Specific CIK) is an advanced cell therapy product developed by Acıbadem Labcell. This therapy utilizes cytokine-induced killer (CIK) cells, which are a heterogeneous population of immune effector cells (primarily CD3+CD56+ cells) that exhibit both T-cell and natural killer (NK) cell properties. Unlike conventional CIK cells that provide a broad, non-specific anti-tumor response, these cells are specifically selected or genetically modified to recognize tumor-specific antigens. This modification is intended to enhance their ability to target and eliminate malignant cells while minimizing off-target effects. The product is manufactured through ex vivo expansion and activation of immune cells and is being developed for various oncology and hematology indications.
