Tumor-specific TCR-T cells + interleukin-2 is an experimental **combination cell and cytokine therapy** for cancer. It involves the adoptive transfer of T cells genetically engineered to express a tumor-specific T cell receptor (TCR), enabling them to recognize and kill tumor cells, combined with administration of **interleukin-2 (IL-2)** to promote the survival, activation, and proliferation of these engineered T cells within the patient. TCR-T cell therapy targets specific tumor antigens presented by MHC molecules and mediates direct tumor cytolysis, while IL-2, a cytokine, enhances the expansion of both endogenous and transferred tumor-reactive T cells, potentially improving treatment efficacy by reactivating dysfunctional antitumor T cells and boosting effector function. The combination is being explored to overcome tumor-induced T cell dysfunction, improve T cell persistency, and increase antitumor immunity in solid and hematologic tumors. Its use is still investigational, and it is typically studied in settings such as advanced or refractory cancers, including metastatic melanoma and solid tumors[3][4].
