Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TumorSelect Paclitaxel is a preclinical anticancer drug candidate developed by Cloaked Therapeutics that encapsulates paclitaxel in a proprietary pseudo-LDL lipid nanoparticle designed to exploit overexpressed low-density lipoprotein receptors on tumor cells. The TumorSelect platform is intended to mimic native LDL particles, promote tumor accumulation through nanoparticle delivery and receptor-mediated uptake, and then release paclitaxel intracellularly after endosomal processing, with the goal of improving the therapeutic index of paclitaxel by increasing tumor-selective delivery and reducing systemic toxicity. The program is being explored across multiple solid and hematologic malignancies, including breast cancer, colorectal cancer, gastric cancer, glioblastoma, leukemia, melanoma, non-small cell lung cancer, ovarian cancer, pancreatic cancer, and prostate cancer.
