TumorTag

TumorTag is a technology platform developed by Umoja Biopharma consisting of bispecific small molecule adapters designed to work in combination with CAR T cell therapy. The lead product candidate, UB-TT170, is a proprietary small molecule fluorescein tag that targets folate receptors (FR) on tumor cells. UB-TT170 selectively binds to FR-expressing tumor cells and labels their cell surface with fluorescein, marking them for recognition and destruction by CAR T cells engineered to bind to fluorescein (TagCAR T cells). This approach, known as the ENLIGHTen platform, allows for the universal targeting of different tumors using a single CAR T cell product by simply changing the small molecule adapter. UB-TT170 is currently in Phase 1 clinical development for osteosarcoma and is being explored for other folate receptor-expressing malignancies, including gynecological cancers.
