Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NR-INF-02 (Turmacin) is a standardized, water-soluble extract of *Curcuma longa* (turmeric) developed by Natural Remedies. Unlike traditional turmeric extracts that focus on curcuminoids, NR-INF-02 is enriched with turmerosaccharides. It is primarily investigated for its anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties in the treatment of joint disorders, specifically knee osteoarthritis. Clinical studies have demonstrated its efficacy in reducing pain (measured by Visual Analog Scale, VAS) and improving joint function (measured by Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index, WOMAC) with a safety profile comparable to placebo. The extract is marketed as a nutraceutical ingredient for joint health and mobility.
