Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Tusilin-LS is a combination oral syrup formulated for the treatment of productive (chesty) coughs associated with bronchospasm, which commonly occur in respiratory conditions such as bronchitis and bronchial asthma. Developed by Signova, the formulation contains three active pharmaceutical ingredients: levosalbutamol (a selective beta-2 adrenergic receptor agonist that acts as a bronchodilator to relax airway smooth muscle), ambroxol (a mucolytic agent that thins and loosens thick phlegm), and guaifenesin (an expectorant that increases respiratory tract fluid volume and reduces mucus stickiness). Together, these components work synergistically to clear airway congestion, facilitate expectoration, and ease breathing.
