Tuxil-D

Tuxil-D is a combination pharmaceutical product developed and manufactured by Fidson Healthcare, primarily indicated for the symptomatic relief of cough and cold symptoms. It is formulated as an oral syrup containing three active ingredients: dextromethorphan hydrobromide, a cough suppressant that acts on the cough center in the brain; phenylephrine hydrochloride, a decongestant that shrinks swollen nasal mucous membranes; and chlorpheniramine maleate, an antihistamine that reduces allergic symptoms like sneezing and runny nose. The product is widely marketed in West Africa as an over-the-counter (OTC) or prescription-branded generic for upper respiratory tract infections and allergic rhinitis.
