Overview
TVAX-028 is a therapeutic vaccine candidate developed by Grandpharma (Nanjing) Life Science for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. It is designed as a biologic injection to stimulate the host's immune system, specifically targeting HBV antigens to induce a robust T-cell response capable of clearing the virus. This approach aims to achieve a "functional cure," defined by the sustained loss of hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg). TVAX-028 is currently in Phase 1 clinical development in China, where it is being evaluated for safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in adults with chronic HBV infection who meet nucleos(t)ide analogue treatment requirements.
