Overview

TVGV-1 is a therapeutic cancer vaccine developed by TheVax Genetics Vaccine. It is designed to stimulate T-cell responses targeting the human papillomavirus type 16 (HPV16) E7 oncoprotein, which is implicated in HPV-driven cancers such as cervical cancer. The vaccine consists of a recombinant fusion protein containing the HPV16 E7 peptide sequence and utilizes immunostimulant adjuvants such as CpG or GPI-0100 to enhance immune response. Preclinical and early clinical studies have shown that TVGV-1 induces robust CD8+ T cell responses specific for the E7 antigen, leading to polyfunctional cytokine-secreting lytic T cells with demonstrated therapeutic efficacy against established tumors in animal models. The primary indication under investigation has been high-grade cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN2/3) caused by HPV infection, aiming to provide a non-surgical alternative for affected women[1][2][3][4][7].
