TVI-Pancreas-1 is an autologous T cell immunotherapy developed by TVAX Biomedical for the treatment of pancreatic cancer. The therapy is based on the TVAX Immunotherapy platform, which uniquely combines the principles of cancer vaccines and adoptive T cell transfer. The treatment process involves two main stages: first, the patient is vaccinated with their own irradiated tumor cells combined with an adjuvant (typically GM-CSF) to prime the immune system and generate tumor-specific effector T cell precursors. Second, these primed T cells are harvested from the patient's peripheral blood, activated and expanded to large numbers *ex vivo* using interleukin-2 (IL-2), and then re-infused into the patient. These activated T cells are designed to circulate and specifically target and destroy the patient's cancer cells. The program is currently in Phase 2 clinical development.
