Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TWK10-fermented soymilk ethanol extract is an ethanol-based extract derived from soymilk fermented with the probiotic strain Lactobacillus plantarum TWK10. This functional food ingredient has demonstrated a range of bioactivities in preclinical studies, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-hypertensive, memory-enhancing, and wound-healing effects. The mechanism of action is believed to involve enhancement of antioxidant capacity (via increased flavonoid and phenolic content), reduction of oxidative stress markers, modulation of inflammation-associated proteins, and improvement in cognitive function in animal models. It has been studied primarily as a dietary supplement or nutraceutical for potential benefits in conditions such as hypertension-induced vascular dementia and diabetes-related cognitive impairment[3][4][6].
