Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TWOBREYE is a preservative-free ophthalmic combination of brinzolamide and brimonidine tartrate developed by Eyekare Kilitch. Brinzolamide is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor that reduces intraocular pressure by decreasing aqueous humor secretion. Brimonidine tartrate is an alpha-2 adrenergic receptor agonist that lowers intraocular pressure by both reducing aqueous humor production and increasing uveoscleral outflow. This combination is indicated for the treatment of glaucoma and ocular hypertension. The preservative-free formulation is specifically designed to reduce ocular surface toxicity, which is a common concern for patients requiring long-term topical therapy.
