Overview

TX-04 is a monoclonal antibody biosimilar of bevacizumab (Avastin), currently under development by Tanvex BioPharma. It is designed to target and neutralize Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF), a key signaling protein that stimulates the formation of new blood vessels (angiogenesis). By binding to VEGF, TX-04 prevents its interaction with receptors on the surface of endothelial cells, thereby inhibiting the blood supply necessary for tumor growth and metastasis. The drug is being developed for the treatment of various solid tumors, including colorectal cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, glioblastoma, and renal cell carcinoma. As of the current pipeline status, TX-04 is in Phase 1 clinical development.
