Overview
TX-32 is a monoclonal antibody biosimilar candidate developed by Tanvex BioPharma that targets the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). As a biosimilar to cetuximab (Erbitux), TX-32 is designed to competitively inhibit the binding of epidermal growth factor (EGF) and other ligands to the extracellular domain of EGFR. This inhibition blocks the activation of downstream signaling pathways, such as the MAPK and PI3K/Akt pathways, which are critical for tumor cell growth, survival, and metastasis. TX-32 may also exert antitumor effects through antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC). It is currently in preclinical development for the treatment of EGFR-expressing malignancies, specifically metastatic colorectal cancer and squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck.
