Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TX01 is a proprietary novel formulation developed by Theranexus, a French biopharmaceutical company focused on rare neurological diseases. It is a new formulation of an already approved compound, intended for the treatment of Gaucher disease and Niemann-Pick type C disease. Theranexus has granted exclusive marketing and distribution rights for TX01 to Exeltis, a Spanish pharmaceutical company and part of the Insud Pharma group, covering the European Union, UK, Latin America, and selected Middle Eastern countries. This agreement includes an upfront payment to Theranexus, along with potential development and commercial milestone payments and tiered double-digit royalties on net sales, aiming to leverage Exeltis's commercial capabilities for global patient access.
