Overview

TX42.2 is a mouse surrogate monoclonal antibody targeting CD226 (also known as DNAM-1), developed as part of a program to modulate CD226 signaling for immune-mediated inflammatory and fibrotic diseases.[5] Preclinical data reported by TNAX Biopharma and IMIDomics indicate that blockade of CD226 signaling by this antibody class downregulates pro‑inflammatory cytokines, increases anti‑inflammatory cytokines, and enhances regulatory T cell function, while TX42.2 itself has demonstrated anti‑fibrotic activity in animal models, suggesting potential disease‑modifying effects.[5] TX42.2 is not yet a therapeutic product in humans but serves as an in vivo surrogate tool in mice to model the pharmacology of human CD226‑blocking antibodies such as IMB1001.[5]
