**txCD47-HNP** is an approximately 100 nm tumor-targeted human serum albumin nanoparticle functionalized with a peptide that binds **CD47**, a cell-surface receptor reported to be overexpressed on bladder cancer cells. It was developed as an intravesical theranostic delivery platform for non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer, with the aim of improving tumor retention and selective delivery of encapsulated anticancer payloads. In a published preclinical study, gemcitabine elaidate-loaded txCD47-HNP showed greater in-vitro potency than free gemcitabine elaidate and reduced tumor burden in an orthotopic mouse bladder-cancer model; fluorescence-labeled txCD47-HNP also labeled bladder cancer cells in patient urine samples.
