Overview

TXP1-CC20 is a preclinical-stage therapeutic candidate being developed by Ossianix for the treatment of Multiple Sclerosis. The drug is part of the TXP1 platform, which utilizes VNAR (Variable New Antigen Receptor) single-domain antibodies derived from cartilaginous fish. TXP1-CC20 consists of a VNAR antibody targeting the CC20 antigen, fused to a brain shuttle component that binds to the Transferrin receptor 1 (TfR1). This shuttle mechanism facilitates the transport of the antibody across the blood-brain barrier (BBB) via receptor-mediated transcytosis, allowing for enhanced CNS delivery and target engagement. This approach is designed to overcome the limitations of conventional antibodies in treating neuroinflammatory diseases by enabling therapeutic concentrations to reach the central nervous system.
