Overview

TXP1-Her2mAb is a preclinical-stage VNAR-antibody conjugate developed by Ossianix for the treatment of neuro-oncological conditions, including HER2-positive brain metastases. The therapeutic utilizes Ossianix's proprietary TXP1 VNAR (Variable New Antigen Receptor) single-domain antibody, which is derived from shark antibodies and serves as a blood-brain barrier (BBB) shuttle. This shuttle targets the transferrin receptor 1 (TfR1) to facilitate receptor-mediated transcytosis, effectively delivering a linked anti-HER2 monoclonal antibody across the BBB into the central nervous system. By overcoming the restrictive nature of the BBB, TXP1-Her2mAb aims to provide a targeted treatment option for HER2-expressing tumors within the brain. The program is currently undergoing in vivo testing in mouse models.
