Overview

TY007 (also known as TRS007) is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody developed by Zhejiang Teruisi Pharmaceutical as a biosimilar to denosumab (marketed as Prolia and Xgeva). It functions as a RANKL (Receptor Activator of Nuclear Factor Kappa-B Ligand) inhibitor. By binding to RANKL, TY007 prevents the activation of the RANK receptor on the surface of osteoclasts and their precursors, thereby inhibiting osteoclast formation, function, and survival. This leads to a decrease in bone resorption and an increase in bone mineral density. The drug is primarily being developed for the treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis and the prevention of skeletal-related events in patients with bone metastases from solid tumors. It is currently in Phase 3 clinical development in China.
