TY014

TY014 is a fully human IgG1 monoclonal antibody developed as a first-in-class therapeutic for yellow fever. It is designed to target the envelope (E) protein on the surface of the yellow fever virus, specifically binding to a highly conserved epitope on domain II of this protein. By doing so, TY014 inhibits viral attachment and fusion with host cells, thereby preventing viral replication. The drug was engineered using computational epitope identification and rapid antibody development platforms. TY014 has demonstrated efficacy in preclinical models both as prophylaxis and therapy, providing 100% protection against lethal challenge in mice. Clinical trials have shown that it can abrogate viremia and reduce symptoms following yellow fever vaccination in humans[5][6][8]. There are currently no approved treatments for yellow fever; TY014 represents the first monoclonal antibody specifically developed for this indication[4][5].
