TY027

TY027 is a monoclonal antibody developed by Tychan for the treatment of COVID-19. It specifically targets the spike (S) protein of SARS-CoV-2, aiming to slow disease progression and accelerate recovery in infected patients. TY027 was designed using Tychan’s rapid-response platform and advanced quickly through preclinical and clinical development. The drug entered Phase 1 trials in June 2020 in Singapore, followed by approval for Phase 3 trials later that year. Despite initial promise—including demonstrated safety in early studies—development was ultimately discontinued after reaching Phase 3. TY027 was also investigated for its potential to provide temporary protection against SARS-CoV-2 infection[1][4][5][7].
