Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TYME-T is a preclinical tumor-targeting technology developed by Tyme Technologies for the treatment of solid tumors via intra-tumoral injection. It is a Cancer Metabolism-Based Therapy (CMBT) designed to exploit the acidic tumor microenvironment resulting from the Warburg Effect. The technology utilizes a proprietary surfactant delivery agent to increase the permeability of cancer cells and deliver selective cytotoxic effects. Its mechanism involves increasing oxidative stress and disrupting protein synthesis, which compromises the protective mucin layer of cancer cells while minimizing damage to surrounding healthy tissue. Preclinical studies of related CMBT candidates have demonstrated significant tumor resolution in xenograft models.
