TYR-300

TYR-300 is an orally bioavailable small molecule antagonist developed for the treatment of congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH). The drug is designed to modulate the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, likely by targeting the Corticotropin-releasing factor receptor 1 (CRF1), to reduce the hypersecretion of adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) and the subsequent excess production of adrenal androgens. TYR-300 was the lead asset of TYR Pharma, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company that was reportedly acquired by Cadre Holdings in 2024 for approximately $185 million. The drug has completed Phase 2 clinical trials, aiming to provide a non-steroidal therapeutic option for patients with CAH to potentially reduce their reliance on high-dose glucocorticoids.
