Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Tyrocutin is an oral, plant-derived bioactive complex developed by Scientis. It is composed of cuscutin, p-coumaric acid, ferulic acid, and oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPCs). Tyrocutin acts as an oral tyrosinase inhibitor designed to manage skin pigmentation, particularly melasma, from the inside out. By targeting tyrosinase activity, inflammatory signaling, UV-induced oxidative stress, and dermal microcirculation, it helps regulate melanin production, protect against photoaging, and promote skin tone evenness and luminosity. It is marketed as a key component of the Cyspera Total Skin supplement and has been evaluated both as a monotherapy and as an adjunct to picosecond laser therapy.
