U87 autologous CAR T-cell is an investigational cell therapy consisting of a patient's own (autologous) T lymphocytes that have been genetically engineered to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) targeting the tumor-associated calcium signal transducer 2 (Trop-2). This modification enables the modified T cells to recognize and attack cancer cells expressing Trop-2. The therapy is being developed primarily for advanced malignant solid tumors, including head and neck cancer, nasopharyngeal cancer, pancreatic cancer, and other advanced cancers. The product is manufactured by collecting mononuclear cells from patients via leukapheresis, followed by ex vivo genetic modification and expansion before reinfusion[1][3][5].
