Drug intelligence / Profile preview
UB-313 is a novel immunotherapeutic vaccine candidate developed for the preventive treatment of migraine. It targets calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP), a neuropeptide involved in vasodilation and neurogenic inflammation, both of which play key roles in migraine pathophysiology. The drug is designed to stimulate the production of endogenous antibodies that inhibit CGRP, thereby reducing the frequency and severity of migraines. Preclinical studies have demonstrated strong immunogenicity across species and antibody properties similar to those seen with approved monoclonal antibodies targeting CGRP. UB-313 is being developed by Vaxxinity and has entered Phase 1 clinical trials to evaluate its safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity[1][2][3][4].
