UB-TT2xx (also known as UB-TT220 or FITC-AZA) is a research-stage bispecific adapter molecule, or 'TumorTag' (TT), developed by Umoja Biopharma in collaboration with Purdue University and Seattle Children's Research Institute. It consists of a carbonic anhydrase IX (CA IX)-targeting ligand (acetazolamide) conjugated to fluorescein (FITC). UB-TT2xx is designed to function as part of Umoja's universal CAR T-cell platform (such as the VivoVec-generated TagCAR T-cells). In this system, UB-TT2xx acts as a bridge, where its acetazolamide moiety binds to CA IX expressed on tumor cells, and its fluorescein moiety is recognized by universal CAR T-cells expressing an anti-fluorescein single-chain variable fragment (scFv). This modular approach aims to overcome antigen heterogeneity and tumor escape in solid tumors by allowing a single universal CAR T-cell population to target multiple antigens when co-administered with different TumorTags.
