Overview

UB-VV200 is an investigational in vivo CAR-T cell therapy being developed by Umoja Biopharma for the treatment of solid tumors. It is built on the VivoVec platform, which utilizes a surface-engineered, third-generation lentiviral vector to generate CAR T cells directly within the patient's body, eliminating the need for complex ex vivo manufacturing. The vector's surface is modified with a multi-domain fusion (MDF) protein that includes an anti-CD3 single-chain variable fragment (scFv) and costimulatory molecules, allowing it to selectively bind, activate, and transduce T cells in vivo. The genetic payload delivered by UB-VV200 encodes a universal CAR (TagCAR) and a Rapamycin-Activated Cytokine Receptor (RACR) system, the latter of which is designed to enhance T cell persistence and expansion. UB-VV200 is intended to be used in a combination regimen with UB-TT170, a bispecific TumorTag adaptor that targets folate receptors on tumor cells and bridges them to the TagCAR T cells.
