Overview

Ubamatamab is a human IgG4-based bispecific monoclonal antibody that targets both Mucin 16 (MUC16), a cell surface glycoprotein overexpressed in several epithelial cancers, and cluster of differentiation 3 (CD3) on T cells. By bridging MUC16 on tumor cells and CD3 on T cells, ubamatamab promotes T cell–mediated cytotoxicity against cancer cells. It is designed to elicit polyclonal T-cell-mediated killing of MUC16-expressing tumor cells, even in the presence of high concentrations of CA‑125. Ubamatamab has demonstrated dose-dependent antitumor activity in preclinical models and is being evaluated for recurrent ovarian cancer, endometrial cancer, SMARCB1-deficient malignancies such as renal medullary carcinoma and epithelioid sarcoma, fallopian tube cancer, and peritoneal cancer. The drug is administered intravenously and developed by Regeneron Pharmaceuticals[1][2][4][5][6][7].
