Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ubExosome is a preclinical-stage therapeutic candidate consisting of exosomes (extracellular vesicles) derived from umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (UC-MSCs). Developed by RenRen Applied Cell Biotechnology (ZenZen Biotech) in collaboration with National Tsing Hua University, it is administered via aerosolized inhalation. The therapy is primarily investigated for the treatment of pulmonary fibrosis (PF), where it has demonstrated the ability to mitigate the decline in lung function and associated weight loss in animal models, thereby reducing mortality. Research findings for ubExosome were presented at the 2024 European Respiratory Society (ERS) Congress.
