Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BPM31510-IV is an Ubidecarenone (CoQ10) drug-lipid conjugate nanodispersion that targets the metabolic machinery in cancer cells. It works by shifting bioenergetics from lactate dependency towards mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation (OxPhos), which generates reactive oxygen species (ROS) and activates apoptosis. The drug modulates mitochondrial function in aggressive tumors, inducing a hallmark shift in the tumor microenvironment (TME) that leads to cancer cell death. In mitochondrial diseases, BPM31510-IV helps restore CoQ10 levels to overcome the effects of mutations that cause mitochondrial dysfunction.
