Overview

UBP-alloNK-19 (also known as UWC19-aNK) is an allogeneic chimeric antigen receptor natural killer (CAR-NK) cell therapy being developed by UWELL Biopharma. The therapy consists of natural killer cells engineered to express a CAR targeting CD19, a protein widely expressed on the surface of B-cell malignancies. By utilizing an allogeneic approach, the therapy aims to provide an off-the-shelf treatment option for patients with B-cell cancers, potentially overcoming the manufacturing delays and high costs associated with autologous CAR-T therapies. As of the latest pipeline information, the program is in the preclinical stage, specifically focused on CAR engineering.
