UBX1967

UBX1967 is a potent, selective small-molecule senolytic inhibitor targeting specific members of the Bcl-2 family of apoptosis regulatory proteins, notably Bcl-xL and Bcl-2. It is designed to eliminate senescent cells by inhibiting pro-survival pathways these cells rely on for persistence. Developed through a collaboration between Ascentage Pharma and Unity Biotechnology, UBX1967 represents a novel approach for treating age-related diseases of the eye by potentially removing sources of multiple disease-causing factors. Its primary indications under investigation include diabetic macular edema (DME), retinal disorders, neovascular age-related macular degeneration (AMD), and proliferative diabetic retinopathy[2][3][4][5][9].
