Drug intelligence / Profile preview
UBX2050 is an investigational fully human monoclonal antibody that acts as a Tie2 agonist. It is designed to activate the Tie2 (TEK receptor tyrosine kinase) receptor independently of angiopoietin-2 binding, thereby restoring Tie2 function and potentially improving vascular stability and barrier function. The drug is being developed primarily for retinal vascular disorders and other eye diseases associated with vascular dysfunction. Preclinical studies have shown encouraging activity in models of ocular disease. Unity Biotechnology is developing this agent as part of its pipeline targeting age-related diseases[1][2][7].
