Drug intelligence / Profile preview
UC-MSC injection is an umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cell therapy developed by Shandong Province Qilu Stem Cells Engineering. The product is designed to treat moderate-to-severe persistent allergic rhinitis by leveraging the innate immunomodulatory properties of mesenchymal stem cells. These cells are thought to migrate to sites of inflammation and release paracrine factors that suppress overactive Th2 immune responses, modulate T-cell activity, and reduce the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, thereby alleviating the symptoms of allergic inflammation. It is currently being evaluated in clinical research projects registered under the Chinese stem cell clinical research filing system.
