Drug intelligence / Profile preview
UC-NK101 is a preclinical iPSC-derived Natural Killer (NK) cell therapy. It was part of Universal Cells' portfolio, a company acquired by Astellas Pharma in April 2022. Astellas's acquisition aimed to expand into the allogeneic cell therapy space, particularly for oncology. This therapy leverages induced pluripotent stem cells to generate NK cells, which are a type of immune cell known for their ability to recognize and kill cancer cells.
