Drug intelligence / Profile preview
UCB0159 is an investigational, Fc-free, trivalent multispecific antibody fragment developed by UCB. Built on UCB's proprietary TrYbe® platform, UCB0159 is designed to simultaneously target and neutralize tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha), interleukin-17A (IL-17A), and interleukin-17F (IL-17F), while incorporating a human serum albumin (HSA)-binding domain to extend its in vivo half-life. This multi-targeting approach aims to achieve synergistic anti-inflammatory efficacy in complex autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, such as plaque psoriasis, by simultaneously blocking key pathogenic cytokine pathways. UCB0159 was evaluated in a Phase 1 clinical trial in healthy volunteers and patients with mild-to-moderate plaque psoriasis; however, UCB discontinued its development in late 2018.
