Overview

UCHT1 is a murine monoclonal antibody clone that specifically targets the CD3 epsilon (CD3ε) chain of the human T-cell receptor (TCR) complex. It is a well-characterized tool in immunology, primarily used to identify and activate T lymphocytes. In therapeutic development, UCHT1 is frequently utilized as the CD3-binding component of bispecific T-cell engagers (BiTEs) and other multispecific antibody formats. By incorporating UCHT1 sequences, these therapeutic constructs can cross-link T-cells with tumor cells, leading to T-cell activation and targeted cytotoxicity. Recent research, such as that by Asylia Therapeutics and MD Anderson Cancer Center, has employed UCHT1 in the development of bispecific antibodies targeting cell surface Heat Shock Protein 70 (csHSP70) for the treatment of T-cell lymphomas and multiple myeloma.
