udenafil

Udenafil is a selective phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor used primarily for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. It works by competitively inhibiting PDE5, which increases levels of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) in smooth muscle cells of the corpus cavernosum, leading to smooth muscle relaxation and increased blood flow during sexual stimulation. Udenafil has a relatively rapid onset (peak plasma concentration at 1–1.5 hours) and a long duration of action (half-life 7–13 hours), allowing for both on-demand and once-daily dosing. It is structurally similar to sildenafil but does not inhibit PDE11 like tadalafil. Udenafil was developed by Dong-A Pharmaceutical and is marketed under the brand name Zydena in South Korea, Russia, and the Philippines[1][2][3][4][5][6].
