UDP-300

UDP-300 is an investigational therapeutic being developed by Cyclarity Therapeutics for the treatment and prevention of skin rashes caused by exposure to urushiol, the allergenic oil found in plants such as poison ivy, poison oak, and poison sumac. The drug utilizes Cyclarity's proprietary cyclodextrin platform technology. Its mechanism of action involves the use of engineered cyclodextrins to bind and sequester urushiol molecules, preventing them from penetrating the skin or interacting with immune cells to trigger allergic contact dermatitis. Currently in the discovery stage, UDP-300 aims to provide a targeted approach to neutralizing the external allergen responsible for the inflammatory skin response.
