Drug intelligence / Profile preview
UE2316 is a potent and selective inhibitor of 11β-Hydroxysteroid Dehydrogenase Type 1 (11β-HSD1). It has been shown to improve memory in aged, cognitively impaired mice, including after intracerebroventricular administration. UE2316 is also involved in the prevention of stress-induced suppression of hippocampal synaptic potentiation. It has implications in treating cognitive impairments and may play a role in conditions like Alzheimer's disease. Additionally, UE2316 has been used in models of liver fibrosis and insulin resistance.
