UI-102

UI-102 is a novel nanoparticulate immunotherapy developed by United Immunity Co., Ltd. It consists of pullulan polysaccharide nanoparticles that encapsulate a Toll-like receptor 7/8 (TLR7/8) agonist. The drug is specifically designed to target M2-like tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) by leveraging the affinity of pullulan for the C-type lectin DC-SIGN (CD209) expressed on these cells. Upon internalization, UI-102 reprograms the immunosuppressive M2-like TAMs into pro-inflammatory M1-like phenotypes, thereby activating a robust anti-tumor immune response characterized by increased infiltration of T cells and NK cells. UI-102 is being developed for the treatment of various solid tumors and is scheduled to enter first-in-human clinical trials in early 2026.
