Drug intelligence / Profile preview
UI082 is an incrementally modified drug (IMD) candidate being developed by Korea United Pharm as a lipid-modifying agent. It is a small molecule fixed-dose combination of pitavastatin, an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor (statin), and fenofibrate, a peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPAR-alpha) agonist. This combination is designed to treat mixed dyslipidemia by simultaneously reducing LDL cholesterol and triglycerides while increasing HDL cholesterol levels. UI082 is currently in the formulation development stage, utilizing Korea United Pharm's expertise in drug delivery systems to optimize the stability and bioavailability of the combined active ingredients.
