Overview

OMT-110 is a repositioned small molecule drug candidate consisting of a subcutaneous formulation of **ulipristal acetate**, a selective progesterone receptor modulator (SPRM). Developed by the South Korean biotechnology company **OncoMylo**, OMT-110 is being investigated for the treatment of refractory metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC). While ulipristal acetate is traditionally approved for emergency contraception and the treatment of uterine fibroids, its repositioning for oncology is based on potential immunomodulatory effects and its ability to influence the tumor microenvironment. A Phase I dose-escalation study (KCT0005336) evaluated OMT-110 in patients with advanced mCRC who had failed standard therapies, demonstrating safety and tolerability at doses up to 100 mg daily administered in a 21-day on/7-day off cycle. The drug is hypothesized to inhibit tumor progression by modulating progesterone-mediated signaling and enhancing anti-tumor immune responses.
