Overview

ULK1i is a preclinical small-molecule inhibitor developed by Txinno Bioscience that targets Unc-51 Like Autophagy Activating Kinase 1 (ULK1). ULK1 is a serine/threonine kinase that plays a critical role in the initiation of autophagy, a cellular self-recycling process that cancer cells utilize to survive under metabolic stress and nutrient deprivation. By inhibiting ULK1, this therapy aims to exploit the intrinsic vulnerability of RAS-mutated cancers, such as pancreatic, colorectal, and lung cancers, which are highly dependent on autophagy for tumor maintenance and progression. The program is currently in the lead optimization phase and is being developed in collaboration with various partners, including the Korea Drug Development Fund (KDDF).
