Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ultra-T is an enhanced lentiviral gene delivery vector component developed by Syenex, Inc. to optimize the manufacturing of ex vivo CAR-T cell therapies. It consists of a single plasmid component that incorporates engineered viral envelopes to increase the transduction efficiency of activated primary human T cells. By boosting functional particle yield per production batch by up to 10-fold compared to standard VSV-G pseudotyped lentiviral vectors (LVVs), Ultra-T aims to reduce manufacturing costs and complexity while maintaining the phenotype and efficacy of the engineered cells. The technology is designed to be easily implementable into established LVV production protocols across both research and clinical scales.
