Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Uman Complex (also known as Uman Complex D.I.) is a plasma-derived, three-factor prothrombin complex concentrate (3F-PCC) developed and manufactured by Kedrion Biopharma. It contains concentrated human coagulation factors II (prothrombin), IX, and X, along with the coagulation inhibitors protein C and protein S, and small amounts of heparin and antithrombin, but lacks therapeutic levels of factor VII. Uman Complex is indicated for the treatment and perioperative prophylaxis of bleeding in patients with congenital or acquired deficiencies of vitamin K-dependent coagulation factors, particularly for the rapid reversal of oral anticoagulant therapy (such as vitamin K antagonists like warfarin) in emergency situations or during high-bleeding-risk surgery.
