Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Umbilical cord blood extract is a biological product derived from umbilical cord blood, which is rich in various bioactive factors. These factors include growth factors, cytokines, and extracellular vesicles (such as exosomes), secreted by the stem cells present in umbilical cord blood, including hematopoietic stem cells and mesenchymal stem cells. It is being investigated for its regenerative, anti-inflammatory, and immunomodulatory properties, promoting cell proliferation, angiogenesis, and tissue repair. It is currently under clinical investigation for conditions requiring tissue regeneration, such as thin endometrium.
