Umbilical cord-derived exosomes (UC-MSC exosomes) are extracellular vesicles secreted by mesenchymal stem cells harvested from the umbilical cord lining. These vesicles contain a concentrated cargo of bioactive molecules, including growth factors, cytokines, and microRNAs, which facilitate intercellular communication and promote tissue regeneration. In the context of aesthetic dermatology, specifically for skin aging, these exosomes are applied topically to stimulate fibroblast proliferation and enhance the synthesis of extracellular matrix proteins such as Type I and Type III collagen. Laser Beamer Skincare is evaluating a protocol that combines the topical application of these exosomes with pretreatment using the Aerolase Neo Elite 1064-nm Nd:YAG laser. The laser provides non-ablative thermal stimulation to the dermis, potentially increasing skin receptivity and triggering a synergistic regenerative response to improve skin texture, elasticity, and overall appearance in aging skin.
